Bio
On behalf of Mayor Garcetti, I help direct departments on how to protect, invest, and improve infrastructure in order to make Los Angeles a more sustainable, resilient, and smart city. In my purview, I help oversee the administration and policies of the Department of Water and Power, Bureau of Sanitation, and Bureau of Street Lighting. Some topics in my purview include new building development, local water, watershed protection, renewable energy, and smart city technologies. In the long-term, I hope to lead a government sustainability office and to teach public policy/urban planning/environmental studies and science at the college or university level.
