I help organisations achieve their goals through creative and effective leadership, strategy, and comms. Currently I’m director of comms, policy and campaigns at Shelter, working to make sure everyone in England has a decent and affordable home. I'm also an investor in, and advisor to, a number of startups. Previously, as Amnesty International's comms director, my team and I redefined how we talked about our mission, won human rights campaigns, and achieved our ambitious growth targets. When I was Al Jazeera Media Network's head of comms I helped us compete with the global audience numbers of CNN and BBC, broke through to previously resistant US audiences, and got journalists out of jail.
