More than anything, I love conversation. Telling stories that engage, educate, excite and move people. Moving people to think and feel differently, and moving them to take action. Engaging people, whether they be major clients on an advisory board or a team of skilled and committed marketers, requires listening, as well as sharing your story – in short, true conversation. Now more than ever, marketing and branding are about conversation, interaction and reaction. Whether through immediate dialogue on social or advanced insights from digital data, I’ve learned that today’s customer journey is about telling your story and listening to theirs, but with new and enhanced tools to do so. It’s about connecting and targeting where, how and when the customer desires. My interests outside work aren’t all that much different. I bring policy makers and business together through board and advocacy work, particularly around finding better ways to move people and goods. And because the more voices the better, I have worked on diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, both professionally and through volunteer work, for well over a decade.
