I am a CTO & CISO speaking, writing and contributing to many events and publications. I was shortlisted for the CSO30 2021 Awards. I am the Founder of the Security2Live Initiative (which raises Digital Safety Skills). I Mentor Cyber Security Start-ups (and help with getting them into the market) and other start-ups as the Cyber Security advisor, and am a Board Advisor to several companies. I have worked on Cyber Insurance, and became a Cyber Essentials Certifier in August 2014. In 2020 I was honoured to be shortlisted 5 in the IFSecGlobal 2020 20 Most Influential People in Security https://www.ifsecglobal.com/ifsec-global-security-fire-influencers/ifsec-global-influencers-in-security-and-fire-2020/. Also honoured to be included in ''2018 Tyto Tech 500 Power List'' of influencers in the UK’s technology sector, https://tytopr.com/tech-500-2018/ I speak at and Chair many security events, regular events have included the Noord CISO Dialogue (17 times), ID Management 10 times, ESRM 7. I also regularly chair executive dinners for event companies as a knowledgeable independent chair. I have sat on the following Judging Panels (SC Awards seven times; IFSEC Awards four times; FSTech Awards once; Trailblazer Awards four times, Outstanding Security Performance Awards, five times). Contributions to several security standards, and publications, and written several White Papers (including GDPR and large scale IoT systems [i.e. Smart Building and Smart Cities], and Getting Started in Smart Building and Smart City Security) which have been nominated for industry awards.
