Shelly McNamara is the Chief Equality & Inclusion Officer and Executive Vice President of HR at P&G. Shelly began her career in sales and has spent the last 25+ years in HR. She has responsibility for a full range of HR work with deep expertise in the areas of organization development, transformation, employee relations, and executive staffing & development. She has served as the senior HR leader for organizations around the world and some of the company's largest businesses with brand portfolios ranging from $4B to $35B, and employee populations exceeding 25,000. Shelly is a role model and leader in the area of diversity and inclusion. As the Chief E&I Officer, Shelly is responsible for shaping culture, policies, and leadership to promote greater diversity. She is an active member of P&G’s Corporate Women’s Leadership Team, has led the expansion of LGBTQ+ employee groups around the globe with external recognition in three regions of the world, and is committed to enabling employees of every background to bring their full selves to work. In 2016 Shelly was recognized with P&G’s inaugural D&I Inspirational Leadership Award. Shelly has strong equity as an organization strategist who drives meaningful business results through thoughtful organization choices. She is business- and people-focused, results-oriented, and widely recognized for the trusting, collaborative relationships she builds. She has driven both strategic and tactical shifts in the talent system to restore category mastery, and build a pipeline of diverse talent. She has led some of the company's most critical transitions, including acquisitions and a site shutdown. Born in Cleveland, OH as the youngest of 15 children, Shelly is also an avid writer, storyteller, and speaker. Her journey has brought her the experience of all that makes us human. She is passionate about building bridges and connections that enable individual growth and the growth of communities and organizations.
