I lead the Advanced Analytics Office at Western Digital Corporation. I partner with senior leadership across the enterprise to identify and accelerate business value capture opportunities by enabling and scaling Analytics transformation solutions and technologies. Through this Office, we have built tremendous momentum for use of Advanced Analytics to accelerate our journey towards enterprise operational excellence. We are developing and scaling solutions that span end-to-end enterprise functions. These analytics solutions target key business metrics, such as, Time to Market for product development, Operational Efficiency and Cost for product manufacture, Customer Experience for product positioning and use, and Business Predictability for meeting market demand. I have the incredible opportunity to lead super-enthusiastic and highly motivated global A-teams. These cross-functional teams develop, deliver, and sustain analytics platforms and cutting-edge application solutions. We are leveraging the latest in Industry 4.0 technologies to drive value: AI/ML for improving manufacturing yield, quality, equipment uptime, and adaptive testing, Operations Research for capacity and scheduling optimization, Digital Twin for inventory and logistics optimization, and Product Telematics for managing customer fleet management solutions. These first-of-a-kind solutions are now in routine use and have won multiple company awards. I am very excited about what we have achieved at Western Digital towards a Connected Enterprise vision in the last three years. The enabling operating model is still evolving and will require nimbleness and rapid adaptation based on business needs and ability to deliver value. I shared this vision in “Redesigning a Data-Driven Operating Model” at the San Francisco CDO Executive Summit hosted by Evanta, a Gartner event, in Dec 2019; this presentation received the National Thought Leadership Award from the event sponsor.
