General Partner at Partech. Leading, with Cyril Collon Partech Africa, VC fund dedicated to African Startups. Strong entrepreneurs are using tech to tackle fundamental problems. They are creating large opportunities. We want to enable them to scale into regional and global players. My story ? I was born in Senegal, grew up in Dakar until high school, then Paris (with stint in London). I started my carrer coding, worked in consulting before joining Silicon Valley HQed, Cosine Communications. I failed 2 startups :-), in SAAS for SMEs in Africa, another in e-reputation. Founded and run CommonSys, a software consulting and integration services then worked for 7.5 years @ Google in Africa. My entrepreneurship years, time at Google and now working in investment have been great ways to satisfy my passion for Innovation and technology in Africa. I am excited to take part in the emerging African tech scene and see opportunities for growth all around.
