Bio

I enjoy writing software more than just about anything else. I've known since I was eight years old that this is what I want to do with my life, and consider myself very fortunate to be able to do it. I have extensive experience with server-side Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and SQL, but I experiment with a lot of technologies and languages as my time allows. I have an interest in public speaking and have spoken at several conferences and Java/Kotlin user groups. I currently help organize both the Triangle Java Users Group. When I lived in Chicago I was an Executive Board Member of the Chicago Java Users Group, and helped organize the Chicago Kotlin User Group.
