As an individual passionate about business, technology and leadership, I have driven technical, organizational, cultural and digital transformations for startups and large corporations with a major focus on rapid market innovation, high-quality tech products, and developer productivity. Having formally and informally played many roles throughout my career, I have built a broad and deep base of experience to inform my strategic thinking, sharply hone my leadership and delivery skills, and drive innovation and continuous improvement in all aspects of product development. - As a senior executive, I have built and executed strategic business cases ranging from new lines of business, to global talent strategies, and to technology delivery platforms. - As a strategic technologist, I have led shifts to cloud (at both the application and infrastructure levels), driven a transition to capability-centric micro services as a mechanism to radically improve the speed of delivery, and overseen the build out of cutting edge mobile and machine learning / AI platforms. - As an organizational leader, I have rolled out principle based organizational changes that have transformed delivery speed, quality, and ownership, and I have scaled out teams at sustained year over year growth rates >30% (e.g., 5 years and running at Spotify), quickly and responsibly building out large, impactful teams. - As a product leader, I've lead and scaled out mature product management and insights teams and directly served as defacto product manager (e.g., contributed to a technology platform that became the basis for an industry wide cable standard). - As a development leader, I have rolled out agile and lean practices at scale that have enabled daily continuous delivery on complex, mission-critical systems. - As an innovator, I have multiple patents and led a surge of innovation and patents in the interactive TV space. - As a software architect, I have envisioned, designed, built and delivered development platforms, apps, and tools used by millions customers. - As a software engineer and computer scientist, I have designed and built software for real-time and web-scale systems and retain a deep connection with how to develop high quality software.
