I am a venture capital investment professional with 12years experience in commercial venture capital, impact investing and M&A in Sub-Saharan Africa. I have spent the last 7years in the venture capital space working on transaction sizes ranging from USD 2m- USD 15m across sectors such as logistics (last mile distribution), renewable energy, healthcare, FMCG and Fund investments. My key geographical focus has been the East African Market. I have held 5 board positions in total on the investees companies and have been part of the strategic and finance committees. I have a good understanding of the entrepreneurial space in Africa and have demonstrated ability to introduce and advance pipeline opportunities through the Investment Committees and post investment adding value to portfolio companies mainly around financial and commercial analysis that has had a direct input on the investee companies’ strategic direction. These companies have in turn achieved an average annual growth of 15% in revenues and have performed above target and inline with the investment case.
